What  do we do?

IMG_0003.jpg

In ASL Club we engage in a variety of activities from learning the language to socializing as a club, to outreach in the community. Read below for more info about some of the things we do in ASL Club!

From guest speakers to fundraisers to raising awareness about the deaf community, we are excited to introduce ways for our members to earn a few service learning hours this year!
Games
We love to play games at our meetings to review what we've learned and get to know each other better! Some of our favs include fingerspelling races, an ASL version of the classic telephone game, vocab Kahoots, and ASL charades.
Lessons
Service
A big part of the American Sign Language Club is, of course, learning sign language. The leadership team will prepare vocab and grammar lessons to teach. However, we like to extend our understanding beyond just learning how to sign the language. We will also have lessons about Deaf culture!
Socials
Not only do you get to know people through having fun at our meetings, but we are also going to plan a few optional socials this year to become even closer as a club!
